Megaflow - No hot water

Megaflow electric hot water cylinder - no hot water. Megaflow cylinders have 2 Heatrae Sadia immersion heaters Low and Top. If you cylinder is cold do the following checks. First check that there is an electrical supply available to both immersion heaters. Remember that the bottom immersion heater normally is fed by economy 7 supply which is life only at night. If there is no supply then check the fuse at the switch and at the consumer unit. If you immersion heaters are connected to HAGER EG203 then this timed fuse will only reset if the circuit has no faults. To check your immersion heaters you need to check resistance between life and neutral and it should be 19 Ohms. If less then replace the faulty immersion heater.

For more information contact Megaflow Technical Support on 08448 711 535.

Megaflow Safety discharge pipe is dripping

Megaflow unvented cylinder has water intermittently dripping or leaking from the safety discharge pipe. The leak could be from a Temperature and pressure relief valve (TPRV set at 6 bar) or from a Pressure relief valve (PRV set at 8 bar). First need to determine from which valve is dripping. Undo the outlet nuts on both valve and check which outlet is wet. If the TPRV is wet then the cylinder need servicing and a bubble top to be recharged. If the PRV is wet then most likely its need replacement or cleaning. For replacement you need to order only a cartridge. The apart number is 95605870. The cartridge can be ordered from here.

Megaflow The cylinder is not heating up Immersion Heater replacement

Hot water cylinder stopped working and you dont have any hot water. Check first an immersion heater fuse on a consumer unit. Is a cable life to the heater? If not it might be on economy 7 supply. Is there 240V between blue and brown? Is there resistance around 190 Omhs?
