- produced to facilitate the requirements of Regulation 36
- requires Landlords to maintain a record of when each appliance is checked and any defects found

Domestic Gas Safety Inspection Report
- gives a record of work carried out by a gas engineer:
- commissioning of gas installation
- reconnecting and relighting gas appliances
- safety check for property vendors
- Contains:
- tightness testing
- emergency controls
- appliance flue and ventilation
- gas user's signature

Electrical Cross-Bonding Record
- issued when non standard earthing arrangements fitted within 600mm of the meter outlet
- Actions:
- inform the user of the lack of main equipotential bonding
- complete the notice and ask for signature, then sign yourself
- advice the user that a qualified contractor should be contacted
- hand the customer a copy, retain the other

Immediately Dangerous (ID)
- Tightness test fail
- Spillage test fail
- Flueing/ventilation/combustion defects
- If not possible to rectify:
- Inform the customer
- Disconnect and seal with permission
- 'DO NOT USE' warning label
- if no permission:
- it is their responsability to use
- turn off the appliance
- contact Gas Emergency Service
- obtain a job reference number from the operator
- Complete 'Warning Notice':
- details of the fault
- action taken
- customer's to signature
- issue a copy to the customer
- keep a copy

At Risk (AR)
- Situation which COULD CREATE risk to life or property
- If not possible to rectify:
- Should not be used
- 'DO NOT USE' warning label
- With permission - TURN OFF the gas supply
- if no permission:
- It is their responsibility to use
- Complete a 'Warning Notice':
- Details of the fault
- Action taken
- Customer's signature
- Issue a copy to the customer
- Keep a copy

Not to Current Standards (NCS)
- The appliance is operating safely but NOT in accordance with current Regulations
- May be left in operation
- 2 NCS = AR
- Actions:
- Advice to fix the defects
- Issue Not to Current Standards notification
- Not to Current Standards Method of Notification:
- Advice Notice (copy to the owner)
- Keep a copy
- Customer's signature
- Keep record for 6 years

Concern for Safety
- 'The Concern for Safety' label
- The appliance should be tested by a Gas Safe Registered (former CORGI) gas installer befor to be used

Responsibilities
- For not using or defect to be remedied lies with the occupier of the premises
- Gas Operative must inform the responsible person about the unsafe situation
- All actions gas operative wish to take are to be with responsible person permission

Warning and Safety Notices/Records
- All notices incorporate duplicate copies
- Notices may be required as proof of performance in a court of law
- issued in conjunction with 'Do Not Use' label in order to reinforce it
- informs the user that the installation is Immediately Dangerous or At Risk and should be disconnected or turned off
- Contains:
- detailed analysis of the gas safety fault
- gas company details
- Gas Safe registration number
- date and time of issue
- gas user's details
- gas user's signature
