Main Checks
- combustion air is adequate
- the flue is correctly constructed
- general condition and suitability of the boiler
- the installation work is satisfactory and complies
- gas fittings and other and other works for the supply of gas are adequate - the system is gas tight
- electrical fittings and the supply of electricity are satisfactory
Firing a boiler
- light boiler as per manufacture's instructions
- check and adjust burner pressure as stated on data plate
- check gas rate
- check operation of flue (open flues require a spillage test)
- check boiler controls and safety devices are functioning correctly
