Preliminary Checks

• Check installation conforms to Regulations
• Light appliance and check correct operation/signs of spillage
• Check flue and terminal type/position
• Ensure ventilation is adequate (open flues)
• Ensure compartment ventilation is suitable (where appropriate)

Annual Service

• Isolate gas/electric supplies to appliance
• Remove outer casing/panels to access burner
• Remove burner and control assembly
• Remove burner injector and blow clean
• Take out pilot/thermocouple/ignition assembly and clean
• Clean main burner and lint arrestor
• Take flue cover off and clean flue ways
• Clean flue ways through clean exchanger
• Remove all debris from combustion chamber
• Check conditions of all components and replace if necessary
• Reassemble the components, checking any gas connections

Recommissioning

• Re-light boiler as per manufacturer's instructions
• Check burner pressure as stated on data plate
• Check gas rate
• Check operation of flue (open flues require a spillage)
• Check boiler controls and safety devices are functioning correctly
• Report back to user with manufacturer's instructions
• Advise customer of the ongoing need for regular maintenance
