Installation requirements

  • Made of PVC-U [BS 3505]
  • Pipes below ground SHOULD lay between 750-1350 mm or insulated
  • Pipes entering buildings through walls below ground should be in duct and sealed at both ends
  • For solid floors, if the pipe rises up inside the building less than 750mm from the outside wall, then vertical section must be insulated
  • For suspended floor the pipe should be always insulated in the floor void
  • A Main Stop Valve should be provided within 150mm of floor just insid the premises
  • A Drain Valve should be fitted just above the Main Stop Valve
  • 15mm – MIN size of a cold water service pipe to a dwelling
